About Employment and Disability Service

Who are we?

EADS is the specialist employment support team of Olympus Care Services Ltd, a limited company wholly owned by Northamptonshire County Council.

We support around 700 people per year across Northamptonshire and Leicestershire.

We are a highly skilled and motivated team delivering a proven, successful, quality service to both our individual clients and the employers we work with.

What do we do ?

EADS exists to support people with a physical, sensory, mental health or learning disability in moving toward, gaining and / or sustaining paid employment.

How do we do it ?

We currently deliver the DWP  Work Choice employment support programme on behalf of Working Links across Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.

Working with you :

Our support can include:

Confidence and stamina building

Guidance and training on interpersonal skills

Interactive career guidance

Job application and interview skills

Providing work placements / work experience

Accompanied starts and job coaching

Travel-to-Work training

Support with applications for Access-to-Work (ATW) funding

On-the-job support with sustaining employment

Negotiation with employers for reasonable adjustments

Skills training, via external courses, where appropriate.

One to one support, delivered locally.

Working with Employers:

Our support can include:

Information, advice and guidance on the employment of people with disabilities

Providing support with retaining an employee if they become disabled

Providing support and guidance on disability issues,

Providing training for employers and their staff on disability and employment issues

Reasonable adjustments and, aids and adaptations

Carrying out work station assessments for disabled employees.
