Postgraduate Study

Alongside our services for business, Birmingham City Business School offer a range of awards and non-award bearing programmes as well as professional qualifications to suit all levels in your organisation or to drive your personal career aspirations.

Courses commence in September, with a selection of courses also offering an additional start date in January. Our subject range of courses cover; Accountancy, Audit and Risk, Leadership, Management, Marketing, Public relations, Human resource management. We also provide our postgraduates with an extra edge in the competitive world of work through our newly developed innovative framework giving you the opportunity to enter a new industry through our multi-disciplinary courses. 

Our courses have led to professional qualifications in Audit (IIA), Certified Accountancy (ACCA and CIMA), Finance (CIPFA), Management and Leadership (CMI), (Marketing (CIM) and HR Personnel Training (CIPD).

The school offers a range of flexible innovative postgraduate courses through conventional mode of study, bespoke development courses, knowledge transfer partnerships and research degrees which are suitable both for recent graduates and established business professionals.

You will benefit from studying alongside people from other countries, which will help you network and also develop your knowledge of the cultural implications of business practice. With the benefit of learning in small classes you will be prepared for work in an increasingly complex and international business environment.

Research

As well as our conventional courses the business school offers supervision if you wish to pursue research programmes for the award of MPhil/ PhD Business Research degree or alternatively the Doctorate of Business Administration. The above pathways are available through full and part-time mode of study.

Partners of the Business School will benefit from learning in our new state of the art facility from September 2015 at our City Centre Curzon Building Campus with excellent facilities including a ‘student support hub’ a specific area for you to work alongside peers, network with like-minded individuals and build invaluable contacts. The new faculty will also provide a dedicated library, IT space plus other student-facing facilities.
